This tabletop-style exercise is intended for the Northeast Wisconsin Healthcare Emergency Readiness Coalition (NEW HERC) region: Manitowoc, Brown (including City of De Pere), Door, Kewaunee, Florence, Oconto, and Marinette Counties in addition to Oneida Nation and Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin.


HEPATITIS A is the designated communicable disease for this event.

Seating will be assigned with different disciplines represented at each table. Resources and materials will be provided but please feel free to bring additional organization-specific policies and materials.

Exercise Objectives:

1: Discuss procedures, capabilities and readiness of the whole community to recognize and respond to potential infectious disease outbreaks and prepare for regional emergency operations.

2: Review and discuss agency plans, capabilities, and authorities for responding to a high-risk infectious disease outbreak among the participating NEW HERC stakeholders.

3: Discuss and validate notification and information sharing procedures to address messaging and coordination with NEW HERC stakeholders to a high-risk infectious disease outbreak.

4: Discuss the ability to conduct multi-disciplinary sharing of resources such as Personal Protective Equipment, Medical Countermeasures among the participating NEW HERC stakeholders to a high-risk infectious disease outbreak.
